The Swiss Board School and CEIBS held a seminar for board members in Chinese subsidiaries. We attended this interesting seminar, as we are often represented on the board of the new companies when establishing subsidiaries in China.

New distribution partner for Taiwan signed

Taiwan is an important semiconductor market. Therefore a qualified distributor has been evaluated and contracted for SAWATEC with the aim to develop this market actively. During the initial training in Switzerland the required product knowledge has been provided and the strategy defined.

Sample case for precision parts created

For the acquisition of new customers, a high-quality sample case was created, which on the one hand shall show the current range of parts, as well as the diversity of materials and industries, but it is also designed to be flexible to integrate new parts. This new marketing tool is used effectively by our customer on initial visits.

New distribution partner for Southeast Asia evaluated

In the course of the further market development in Asia, a new distribution partner for Singapore and Malaysia was set up for SAWATEC. After intensive evaluation, a qualified sales partner could be contracted.

To ensure a successful cooperation, an initial training was conducted in Switzerland.

HR management documents prepared

All personnel records for Buschor AG were newly created and introduced. In addition to the employment conditions, all employment contracts and job descriptions have been drawn up in accordance with the organizational chart.

Competitiveness increased through process optimization

A key customer of RhyMech AG demanded a significant price reduction for a sophisticated delivery part. SMEV carried out a detailed process analysis and was able to realize the necessary cost reduction by optimizing the blank and the individual process steps.

Optimal building use plan worked out

As preparation for the implementation of defined 5S measures, especially in the production and storage area, a building use plan was drawn up for the entire operating building of SAWATEC AG.

Elaborated a trade fair concept for CHINano trade fair in Suzhou

We created the trade fair concept for our customer SAWATEC and implemented it on site in China.

More productive thanks to preventive machine maintenance

In 2015, shop floor management was introduced at RhyMech AG for the efficient control and monitoring of production orders.

In order to improve the preventive maintenance of the machines, the supervision of maintenance work has now been supplemented with a T-card system on the shop floor board.

This improvement will increase productivity by reducing machine downtime and improving quality.

Implementation of comprehensive marketing concept

The customer W. Buschor AG assigned us with the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing concept with the aim of successfully opening up new market segments.

After the definition of the corporate design, a new website was designed, a company presentation and image brochure for customer visits were created and the video portrait was updated.

Senior partner with member in the political forum

Our senior partner Miss Song has been elected as a member of the “Chinese people’s political consultative conference in Shenzhen” for the next 5 years. This allows SMEV the access to an expanded network of Chinese entrepreneurs and political decision-makers.

New sales partner developed for South Korea

After the successful development of a sales and service centre in China, our customer SAWATEC also assigned us with setting up a new sales partner for South Korea.

After several preliminary talks a qualified sales partner was contracted. For a successful start trainings in Switzerland and Korea have been organised and performed.

Managing partner completes training for administrative board members

Our managing partner successfully completed a training for professional administrative board members. The training was performed at IHK St. Gallen by OBT and other specialists and will be implemented in a useful way for customer mandates.

Evaluation and visit of local suppliers in South China

For an innovation project, various Chinese suppliers were evaluated and visited on site.

The component requirements were discussed in detail and the performance of the local suppliers was assessed.

Joint customer visit in the Netherlands

We accompanied our customer RhyMech during its customer visit in the Netherlands in order to not only bridge the language barriers but also to offer the desired sales support.

The aim of the visit was to build new customer relationships after relocating the production.
